Subject: PLEASE READ: Final Push for Survey Responses

Good Morning,

This is the final week that your 2023 clientele will be able to fill out the survey for our economic impact study. We are still at just a 22% response rate. It would be great if we could get that percentage a bit higher!! Every non-resident hunter and angler who purchased a license in 2023 (and had not yet responded) received a final link to the survey this past Monday. The very last day to fill out the survey is this Friday. 

We are going to need this study more than ever come January! Progressive Democrats beat out the moderate Democrats in the primary election last night in a landslide. That is not good news for our industry as moderate democrats generally favor hunting/fishing based conservation over progressives. It is very important that we be able to prove our economic importance to the Legislature in 2025!! The outfitting industry’s contributions to New Mexico’s rural economies is one of our last remaining leverage points. 

PLEASE, please send your 2023 clientele an email encouraging them to participate in the survey. The survey link will be in an email from NMCOG and they can find it in their Inbox, Spam, or perhaps Trash if they deleted it. We desperately need a high participation rate on this survey in order to ensure that the data we include in our study is accurate and reliable.
